Sharon and Rick-Modesto Wedding

Sharon and Rick got married! It was a beautiful summer day, the bride glowed, the groom couldn't wipe the huge smile from his face, the family and friends felt blessed to witness the love they share!

One son walked her down the aisle and gave her away. Her other son married them. The bride's daughter and the groom's best friend attended them...everyone marveled that God had brought them together in a most amazing way.

I can't tell you how many photos like this I took that day! A partner you can laugh with is a beautiful, beautiful thing!

Stopped on the way to the reception for a few romantic shots!  Thanks so much Sharon and Rick, for allowing me to photograph your happy day!

Aaaack! I'm behind the 8Ball again!

Really meant to get on the ball with my blogging, I've been having some amazing photography sessions and EACH and EVERY one of them have been blog worthy! Computer issues make me crazy and a little lazy when it comes to blogging...I feel like I've got to rush to edit those photos before it crashes. Anyway, no excuses. The computer will be replaced shortly and for now it's still starting up most of the time I turn it on, so here goes!

June held lots of opportunities for me! Ryan and Jay got married! These two have been together about 10 years...if you had asked Jay any time during the last eight or nine of them when they were getting married, his standard answer would have been, "I'm already married." Well, Ryan held out for the wedding, and I'm so glad she did! A love like theirs deserves to be celebrated in a BIG way!

Congratulations you two! May your family be forever blessed!

Had a visit from my family in June too! My niece Karesa, her hubby Michael and my most favorite friend Mackenzie came to see us! We celebrated Kenzie's third birthday while they were here!
Nana and Papa couldn't get enough of her, and I'm pretty sure the feeling was mutual! Love these photos of my parents with their littlest great granddaughter!

Such a precious gift to get to spend lots of time with them while they were here. Sending them back to AZ hurts every time! Love you all the most! ;-)

Ryan and Louis | Engagement Session

Kinda bums me out when you have a photo session all planned out in your head only to find out the city has torn it up! Luckily for me, we didn't know about the construction before we got there, or we would have moved our session. And, we may not have wandered and found this beautiful light!

Ryan and Louis are getting married next week!!!! They're a sweet, gorgeous couple with a beautiful family, so it should be a really easy wedding to shoot! I mean, come on! Look at them!
Our downtown area provides some pretty interesting backgrounds and some great pockets of light!

Looks like he knows he's a lucky man, huh?
Can't wait to take their wedding photos!!!!

Alex and Alex...only a little confusion!

I was thinking that when you're a couple and your names are both Alex, that it must make for some interesting phone conversations...and then it occurred to me that very few people have a house phone anymore. So when you're calling one of these Alexes, you know exactly who you're calling! Anyway...I had the best time on their engagement session...so gorgeous, both of these Alexes! It's gonna be a BEAUTIFUL August wedding!!!

Seriously? This is my favorite of all! You two are simply stunning!!!

It's now or never!

I've been scared to death to start blogging my photography stuff. It's like if I do more than put it out there on Facebook that I'll actually be asking you to like me, or my work. And then what if you don't? Or what if I can't keep up the pace?

And then, I received a graduation announcement in the mail containing some of the photos I've done this spring...and it was amazing and made me smile so big. So, I'm just going to stop being scared and go for it! Here are a few of my favorites from my first session this year...I'll be adding a post or two a week until I get caught up!

Helen is one of my best friends ever...she taught me that I could run, that it was good for my soul and great for my friendships. I've watched her boys grow up and become fine young men. This holiday season they celebrated Oliver being home from college in Missouri with some family photos...LOVE them!
